Handmade Custom Guitar Strings
These are quite possibly the best guitar strings I've ever used. In fact I am so impressed with them I've begun endorsing and providing these strings to friends and fellow players. I'm able to order in bulk and obtain custom sets of Mangan strings you cannot get at your local or online music dealers. Curt Mangan is not a huge corporation. They are a small outfit that does not cater to the big mega stores. The result is a string maker that can maintain extreme quality in materials and craftsmanship and slowly crank out the best strings money can buy at a price even a blues musician can afford.
I'm currently testing and developing sets that serve many needs from slide guitar to fingerstyle. I hope you will read the information and try these strings. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

LB100a - LIGHTS LB Custom Phosphor Bronze

Description: These are the gauges most people call standard light strings and is the most popular gauge used. The Phosphor Bronze produces a rich bold sound that's not overly bright when first installed yet maintains a very consistent tone for a longer period of time. The Mangan string lasts a long time and string breakage is a rare event. Unless you have acid hands these can last as long as 3-4 weeks of regular play.LB100b - LIGHTS LB Custom 80/20 Bronze

Description: These are the gauges most people call standard light strings and is the most popular gauge used. Compared to the bold fat sound of the phosphor bronze formula these have a slightly more bright silky sound when first installed but eventually that fades until they sound much like the phosphor bronze after being played in. Some people swear by 80/20 strings and keep some sets in their gig bag. They also claim some guitars really benefit from these qualities. You might want to order a few sets to try.---

So you get nearly all the tone, bass and volume benefits of a full medium gauge set but slightly less tension on your guitar and fingers. Much like the slide wizard set offered above this is a regular MED gauge set of strings with the highest two strings slightly heavier. This will be a great string for resonator guitar players looking for the fattest tone and slide support they can get on a medium gauge set. This lessens the tension on the guitar compared to a full heavy gauge dobro set. As with all the strings offered the phosphor bronze has a fat rich tone that's not overly bright when installed yet lasts very consistently through the life of the strings.LB104b - MEDIUM HEAVY HIGH - 80/20 Bronze

This is the heaviest set I will offer and people have raved about the tone they get with these on resonators, archtops but unless you are playing a longer scale baritone guitar I probably would not recommend this heavier gauge set on a regular wooden flat top guitar unless it was tuned down. The phosphor bronze formula delivers a bold but not overly bright sound when installed and that rich fat tone lasts consistently through the long life of the strings.LB105 - HEAVY - 80/20 Bronze
