"I fumbled around
aimlessly for years until I discovered Little Brother's lessons. LB has
the clearest, most detailed lessons I have ever found in years of web
searching. It's like learning on the back porch from a close friend. On
top of that all his lessons have serious mojo and are a blast to play. If
you've always dreamed of playing the blues but never found the key(no
pun)....try one of Little Brother's lessons, you won't be sorry."
- Mickey - Detroit, Michigan
Discovering
LB's lessons has propelled my playing more than anything I've ever tried.
And as a side benefit, I get to be a member of a learning forum where I
can communicate with LB and other students about every possible aspect of
learning guitar. It's a goldmine for anyone wanting to learn blues
guitar.

These
lessons are the best deal going. I've been playing for nearly 40 years
and these lessons are like giant gold nuggets laying in a stream. Pick
one up and you're rich! Little Brother uses easy to understand
explanations. An economy of words and finger positions makes these
lessons worth the time and are a bargain too. Thumbs up!

"I have been
interacting with Little Brother for around 3 years now.
Without his lessons, support and encouragement I am certain I would still
be struggling with some of the basics of fingerstyle blues. While I have
seen his lessons become much more polished, in-depth and extensive one
thing remains very consistent... that is the sense that you are sitting on
the porch with a friend walking you through these things (just like the
pre-cyber days). Doug has a unique ability to break things into simple
pieces, which allows you to make quick progress. So, grab your favorite
beverage, sit back and pick awhile with Little Brother."

"
I've bought several of LB's Blues lessons and found that they have helped
me to practice better as well as play better. The step by step visuals as
well as the audio and written work cover everything I need to learn to
play guitar."
- Brian, Ontario Canada.
LB's lessons have
given me a great practical gateway to the blues. The lessons not only
teach step by step how to play a particular piece but are also loaded with
many other essential tips and techniques that can be carried through to
everything you play. Things that not only teach you to how to play blues
but more importantly how to personalise a tune and make it your own.
Thanks for all your help LB, every lesson so far has been invaluable.

I've tried
lots of books, cd's, dvd's tapes, online lessons. If you want to learn
fingertyle blues, whether your a total beginner or an experienced player,
you just won't find anything better available anywhere than these lessons
by Atlanta's Doug Jones (aka Little Brother). Doug does an amazing job of
making fingerstyle blues guitar available to learners of all levels.
Comprehensive, easy to follow and totally accessible, these lessons are
the real deal and would be truly a bargain at three times the price.
Doug's teaching style is the best I've seen anywhere, full of
encouragement, practical advice, detail, and designed to teach you
techniques and licks that can be used in hundreds of more songs and will
inspire you to keep learning for years to come.

Profound
changes in my guitar playing have occurred as a result of working with
Doug Jone's materials, Blues in A. The meticulous lessons have been
prepared for the novice blues player in mind. Pacing,
information, playing techniques and YES even theory is provided. The
combo works. The lesson emphasis is playing the song. The approach, slow
and thorough just plain works for me. I have noticed my progress. My
family and friends have noticed my progress. I am proud of my progress
and Doug Jone's and his materials are key for this happy state of
affairs. I can not wait for the next lesson!!
The lesson stands by itself. In the inevitable moments when time with the
material is needed or even time away from the lesson is needed, or queries
come up - support is available. Support of the lessons or any question
you might encounter can be answered by other students of the same lesson
at Doug Jones website, ...., or even frequently by Doug. The support
guided me into using all my resources - mental, physical and emotive. The
result was that it changed my awareness as a player. This mindfulness -
mind and body being in the same place at the same time - certainly made me
play better, but it made me more attuned with the music I was creating.
Real music, not a song or even a lesson. I am more motivated to play each
day, in order to seek more and more of those "musical moments."
Learning the guitar, like life is unpredictable and messy. The process
has it's way with you, no matter how hard you try to control it. Doug
Jones's lessons have taught me to experience each lesson with a clear
vision and open mind. When I do this, guitar and life, the learning takes
care of itself.

I've said it before,
and I'll say it again and again...after over 30 years of playing guitar,
I've never learned and progressed so much so fast as I have during the
last year after discovering the literal treasure trove of Little Brother
instructional materials (not to
mention the interactive website!). Doug Jones (Little Brother) is not
only a true gem of a person, he is probably the best instructor I've ever
come across. His ability to cut through mumbo-jumbo and get right to the
practical, useful knowledge and skills a player needs to master a style
and/or song is uncanny. A rank beginner can take one of Doug's lessons
and come away playing a new song with new skills. But (even more amazing
to me), a more seasoned player can also take the same lesson and learn the
same song and skills, AND sharpen some other skills in the process,
without being bored by the lesson. In each lesson, Doug will play through
a song several different ways, from very basic all the way up to "Little
Brother" level. There is something there for everyone, and it is easily
accessible to every player at his/her own level. It's like all the
low-hanging fruit on the tall tree of perfectly ripe tasty blues.
I could go on and on, but I'll just sum it up like this...if you want to
grow and progress as a guitar player, stop and pick all the Little Brother
lessons you can possibly get in your basket. You will get way more than
your money's worth. Doug's lessons will definitely make you a better
player, and there ain't no flies on a one of 'em!

Little Brothers
lessons helped me progress faster than anything I have used before, the
videos are great. LB explains everything in a language that is easy to
understand, worth every cent I paid for them and then some.
- Keith
Little Brother’s
lessons have helped me progress beyond my expectations. Using clear
concise videos and easy to follow examples LB breaks down a song in a way
that makes it easy to understand what each hand needs to be doing. After
some practice you find that not only is a particular song coming together
but in fact you are learning a style that you can apply to a tons of
songs.

As a middle aged
beginning guitar player I have tried a variety of lessons. All have been
of some value but most have been lacking in one area or another. Little
Brother's lessons are the most comprehensive I have come across. You not
only get to hear the what the song is supposed to sound like, but he
breaks it down into understandable segments - left and right hand - so you
can truly master a song piece by piece. You will get more value for your
money with Little Brother than any other on line lessons and you will have
fun while you're making music. After all, that's the idea, isn't it?
